The History of Pilote Motorhomes

Pilote has a rich heritage that spans over 60 years, marked by innovation, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to creating quality motorhomes and caravans. Established in 1962 by André Padiou in France, the brand quickly made a name for itself in the caravan manufacturing industry. Pilote’s first products were a result of André’s vision to bring comfort and functionality to leisure travel. With the foundation of the company rooted in a passion for quality, Pilote quickly gained a loyal following.

By 1978, Pilote recognised a growing demand for motorhomes and expanded its operations to include the design and production of motorhomes. This pivotal decision marked a turning point for the company, as it began to cater to a new market of travellers looking for versatile and high-quality leisure tourers. Over the years, Pilote has continually adapted to the evolving needs of its customers, incorporating cutting-edge technology and innovative designs into every tourer.

The success of Pilote lies not only in the quality of their motorhomes but also in the company’s dedication to research and development. Pilote has maintained its status as a leader in the industry by prioritising the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of its customers. This has enabled the brand to build a strong and trusted reputation across Europe, making Pilote motorhomes a preferred choice for adventurers and families alike.
